DWF Labs Emerges as the Top Cryptocurrency Venture Firm in Trading Volume for 2023
According to the “2023 Cryptocurrency Venture Capital Deals” data published by PitchBook, the top 11 investment institutions are as follows: DWF Labs (42 deals), Coinbase Ventures (34 deals), Cogitent Ventures (31 deals), Shima Capital (31 deals), WAGMI Ventures (30 deals), Blizzard Avalanche Fund (29 deals), Big Brain Holdings (29 deals), Andreessen Horowitz (28 deals), NGC Ventures (28 deals), MH Ventures (26 deals), and Robot Ventures (26 deals).
Additionally, HashKey Capital, the venture capital arm of HashKey Exchange, and Jump Crypto, a subsidiary of Jump Trading Group, did not make it to the top ten cryptocurrency venture capital institutions last year, despite their previous inclusion in 2022. Among cryptocurrency exchanges, only Coinbase Ventures, a subsidiary of Coinbase Global Inc., made it to the list in 2023. Nevertheless, Coinbase Ventures' deal count decreased by 75% compared to the previous year, participating in only 34 financing rounds.
