Coinbase, Perplexity AI join forces to enhance crypto data access for traders

Coinbase has formed a partnership with Perplexity AI to provide traders access to real-time crypto market data and analysis through an AI-powered interface, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong announced on X on Thursday.

In the first phase of the rollout, Perplexity is incorporating Coinbase‘s market data, including COIN50 indices, into its market analysis capabilities. Users can analyze price movements through Comet, Perplexity’s new browser interface.

The second phase will integrate Coinbase‘s market data directly into Perplexity’s user query responses, enabling traders to monitor market activity, screen for trading opportunities, and analyze token-specific movements through a conversational AI interface.

According to Perplexity, user queries for crypto information match those for traditional equities, indicating the growing mainstream adoption of digital assets.

The integration was implemented through the Coinbase Developer platform, laying the groundwork for expanded functionality.

The partnership aims to help users make more informed decisions about crypto trading by providing access to reliable real-time market data through AI-powered analysis tools.
