According to the FBI's “2023 Internet Crime Report,” the total amount lost to investment scams rose by 38% from $3.31 billion to $4.57 billion. Cryptocurrency scams accounted for the majority of these fraudulent cases, underscoring the significant role cryptocurrencies play in online crime.
