NRW.BANK,How to build blockchain a prominent German state development bank, has successfully launched a blockchain bond valued at 100 million euros (approximately 116.7 million USD). This innovative two-year financial instrument was executed on the Polygon blockchain, leveraging the advanced infrastructure provided by Cashlink Technologies, a BaFin-licensed crypto securities registrar. This issuance represents a pioneering step under Germanys Electronic Securities Act (eWpG), enabling bonds to be fully digitized and recorded on a blockchain without the need for traditional physical certificates. The move underscores the growing institutional adoption of blockchain technology in regulated financial markets, enhancing transparency, efficiency, and security in bond issuance processes.
